G.P.O. GMT 34 and Clock 36

Used by the British G.P.O for many years, this is a Master clock No. 36, being run from a clock unit GMT 34. These would run the slave clocks in a building plus the timing for Strowger telephone exchanges.

No. 5 Crossbar (Mercer Island, WA)

More footage from the vaults…As far as I can tell, this was shot by a PNB cameraman in a No. 5 Crossbar (5XB) office on Mercer Island, just east of Seattle. This would be the same 5XB that can be seen today in the museum.

Wijk-telefooncentrale Rotterdam-Centrum 14 ARF AXE

Een kijkje in een van de grootste wijk-telefooncentrale van Nederland Rotterdam-Centrum.
Te zien is oa de oude telefooncentrale een Ericsson kruisschakelaar systeem type ARF.
Daarnaast ook een computergestuurde telefooncentrale Ericsson type AXE
